Michael Adams believes a wedding ceremony should feel like the couple—not like a performance. With several weddings under his belt and emceeing experience as well, Michael brings a calm, easygoing presence and a genuine desire to make the ceremony one of the most meaningful and enjoyable parts of the day.

Having officiated his first wedding 16 years ago, Michael understands that while there may be countless moving parts on a wedding day, the couple shouldn’t have to worry about their officiant. His goal is simple: make the ceremony easy, comfortable, and completely about the two people standing in front of him.

Michael loves creating a relaxed atmosphere where couples can take a breath, look at each other, and truly be present in the moment. He wants them to forget about everything happening around them and simply recognize that this is theirday—a day to celebrate and solemnize the commitment they are making to one another.

Outside of weddings, Michael enjoys hiking, biking, and getting out on the water in a kayak, canoe, or SUP. He’s also a huge fan of music—especially old-school R&B, hip-hop, and ’80s and ’90s music—and movies. In fact, Michael often finds himself thinking in song lyrics and movie references, a little personality trait that can add a fun and memorable touch to the way he connects with people.

Michael is married to Beverly, and together they have two children. Their family also includes Louie, a lovable Lhasa Apso–Maltese cross who is particularly devoted to Beverly—and apparently takes his role as her protector very seriously!
